For the new album, the three-time GRAMMY-nominated group partnered with producer Matt Wallace, exploring both rock and pop songwriting with a renewed vigor.
Featuring duet vocals with Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke) along with pedal steel guitar from Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Ricky Medlocke
The music is loud, heavy, fun and anarchic. Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s HAIL THE HATTER!
The group will spend much of the foreseeable future on the road.
Directed by longtime collaborator Johan Carlén, this is the third music video we’ve heard from the King with AVATAR from His new record titled ‘Avatar Country.’
The album’s debut single, “Hundred Pound Hammer,” is available now across all digital streaming platforms and can be instantly downloaded as an instagrat track with all digital pre-orders.
“This album really captures all the spontaneity and energy of the band’s live performance.”
Band is the new creation of Corey Glover (Living Colour) and George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob), alongside the great rhythm section formed by drummer Chris Moore and Pancho Tomaselli on bass.
“Rise Above carries a strong message within the tracks,” stated Paul, lead singer/rhythm guitarist of Take Today. “This EP has been a long-time coming for us, with an incredible amount of hard work put in the production, and it’s something we are very proud of.”
First album from the band in three years since the release of Awaken The Fire in 2015, which spawned the hit singles “Love The Way You Hate Me,” “Become The Enemy,” “Wish You Hell” and “Break Free.”
