When Motörhead’s legendary frontman Lemmy saw BARB WIRE DOLLS live at Whisky A Go-Go back in 2015, he immediately took them under his wing and signed them personally to the Motörhead Music record label.
Dave Franklin was a fixture in New Jersey’s underground music community for more than 30 years, fronting one of the state’s favorite and enduring punk bands, Vision, from 1986 until his passing on January 5, 2017. A tribute concert will be held on April 2nd in Asbury Park, NJ.
Akron, Ohio’s Devilstrip has signed with UK-based Broken Road Records. Devilstrip, who is the first American band to sign with the label, is scheduled to release its latest album, Testify, in June.
Earlier this year, an upcoming tell-all documentary about the unspoken truths of the 90’s alternative music industry was announced, entitled UNDERGROUND INC.: The Unsung Story of Alternative Rock. The documentary is currently in production and scheduled to be released later this year.

THE BLACK MOODS will return to the road in the US this year as they continue to promote the release of their debut full length album, Medicine. The Phoenix-based rock group will embark on the “Ready For War” tour supporting Adelitas Way, which kicks off on March 2nd at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas.
Black Veil Brides frontman, alt-pop artist and raconteur extraordinaire Andy Biersack – more recently recognized by his solo moniker Andy Black – will be hosting The Journeys Alternative Press Music Awards on July 17, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio.
