TIMES OF GRACE SHARE ‘THE BURDEN OF BELIEF’

The band's latest, 'Songs of Loss and Separation,' is out now.

TIMES OF GRACE, featuring Adam Dutkiewicz and Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage, has shared the virtual performance video for “The Burden of Belief.”

“‘Burden’ was one of the songs we originally thought really represented our newer album’s sound overall,” said Leach. “I could also always hear it like an acoustic song in my head, similar to ‘The Forgotten One.’ Perhaps someday we will do just that, but in the meantime, an ‘at home’ performance of the song felt like a cool thing to put out there. I really enjoyed setting a vibe and just belting it out. The song has such a deep meaning for me — hell, the whole album does. But there was always something about this song from the first time I heard the demos.”

“This is a version of ‘The Burden of Belief’ performed as it would be live, but done separately from our homes,” said Dutkiewicz. “Obviously, we’ll need a bass player and second guitarist to help out for the real deal. We hope to bring this song, and many more, to your town at some point in the future.”

The band’s debut album, The Hymn of a Broken Man, arrived in 2011, nearly a decade after Leach’s exit from Killswitch Engage, the pivotal New Wave of American Heavy Metal band the duo co-founded with friends in 1999. The first music from Times of Grace materialized during Dutkiewicz’s arduous recovery from near-crippling back surgery. A collection of songs the multi-instrumentalist and producer knew would suit his once and future bandmate.

Now, 10 years after Times of Grace first surfaced, the eagerly awaited follow-up, Songs Of Loss and Separation was released over the summer via the band’s own imprint label, Wicked Good Records and distributed by ADA Worldwide.
