Adrenaline Mob’s David Z. killed in tragic accident

As reported on our social media sites last night, Adrenaline Mob’s bassist, David Zablidowsky, was tragically killed on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Micanopy, Fla.

Gainsville.com was the first known publication to report of the accident.

The band was driving from Biloxi, Miss., to its next show in St. Petersburg, Fla., when a tractor-trailer veered off Interstate 75 and struck the band’s RV, which had pulled off the highway with a flat tire.  Zablidowsky, who was also known professionally as David Z., was pronounced dead at 12:42 p.m., minutes after rescue units arrived at the scene. Six others were also injured in the wreck.

John Moyer, bassist for Disturbed and formerly of Adrenaline Mob himself, posted the following on his social media accounts:

“This talented, humble sweet soul left us today way too soon. If you saw him perform, you were lucky. If you knew him you were blessed. RIP David Z. You were a beast on stage and it was my pleasure to have shared it with you on your last days. Going to miss you brother.”

Zablidowsky was a multi-platinum and gold recording artist who also played bass for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He was the founder and bassist for The Eighties Strike Back Show: Rubix Cube, and the bassist for SOTO and ZO2.

Zablidowsky joined Adrenaline Mob this past April. The band was touring in support of its June release, We The People and had announced additional concert dates for its second leg of the tour, which was to be supported by Century Media label mates Righteous Vendetta. Understandably, as of press time, there have been no announcements from either bands or Century Media.
